The most outstanding thing about this film is the character of the little girl played by Catinca Untaru. She is so adorable and cute that we will forgive all the lag in the films pace at times. I was little disappointed with the later part of the film but again I was really blown away by the little girls character.
It would be best to watch the Bluray version of this movie, by the way this movie was directed by an Indian - Tarsem Singh [previous work - The Cell]

Very few people know or have seen this film. I am one of them - echo your sentiments. I think this is an excellent movie. You've got to view it with a different mindset. there is no instant gratification - you have to give it time to grow on you - and boy it does.

ReplyDeleteThis film is truly amazing. the reason I didn't think it did well at the box office was due to the synopsis of the film. It simply said a guy tells a girl a story the the lines between reality and fantasy blur. Although this is true it just makes the film sound like a girl with mental problems when in fact she has a wild imagination. Singh has always been a great visual director and I can't wait to see his next film the Immortals.
